Here at Cedar Lodge, we are offering great deals and free nights on already low rates so be sure to check our specials page before you book a winter trip to Pigeon Forge. Now let’s dive into some of the Indoor Activities in Pigeon Forge.

Pigeon Forge Snow

Do you enjoy the thrill of tubing down a hill, but don’t really handle the super cool temperatures well? If so, you will absolutely love visiting Pigeon Forge Snow! This indoor attraction allows visitors to enjoy one of the most beloved winter activities around, but without worrying about proper clothing gear, etc. Most of us have vivid memories of snow tubing from our childhood and Pigeon Forge Snow offers a place to relive those fun times. If you are not one that has tubed before, this is a great place to try it out for the first time. We honestly doubt you will regret it. It is exhilarating! Many ask if it is real snow. The answer is, yes! They have a unique patented process that makes the snow from water and without any additives. As far as the temperature, it is always between 60 and 70 degrees so you can snow tube and still be pleasantly content with the temperature. Pigeon Forge Snow is open year-round and is great for all ages. Oh, and you do not need reservations so you can simply show up when you want!

WonderWorks is an Indoor Activity in Pigeon Forge

This three-story, 82-foot building is literally turned upside down so you definitely cannot miss it on the Pigeon Forge Parkway! This unique attraction offers more than 150 interactive exhibits. With the numerous hands-on activities and exhibits, visitors of all ages will delightfully enjoy this “amusement park for the mind.” Some of the WonderWorks exhibits you can enjoy are an anti-gravity chamber, hurricane-force winds exhibit, and a laser tag course. To make sure you allow time to enjoy everything, I would allow three to four hours for this fun adventure attraction.

Titanic Museum

Step back in history by visiting this two-story museum that is shaped like the RMS Titanic. Holding more than 400 artifacts, this museum is built half-scale to the original Titanic ship. Guests are able to honor the passengers and crew of the Titanic when visiting this Pigeon Forge attraction. Each guest will receive a boarding pass of someone that was actually on the Titanic ship, either as a passenger or a crew member. As you tour the museum, you will get to experience what the parlors, hallways, and cabins were like. You will also be able to touch a real iceberg, try to stand on the sloping decks, and reach your hands into 28-degree water. This museum tour is self-guided so you can go at your own pace as you learn first-hand what it was like to be on the Titanic ship. Towards the end of the tour, you will come to a Memorial Room where all 2,208  names line a wall. It is there you will learn the fate of your boarding pass name. A few other immersive experiences include shoveling coal in the boiler room, learn how to send an SOS distress signal, and sitting in an actual size lifeboat. Pigeon Forge Axe House

Axe houses are increasing in popularity around the country and when visiting Pigeon Forge guests are now able to enjoy one here in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. If you like to step out of your comfort zone and try new things, we highly recommend you add this to your to-do list while in town. This is an activity for the entire family. As long as you are able to lift an axe and throw it, you will enjoy this! Worried about someone getting hurt? You do not have to be! You will have a certified coach to guide you the whole time and all of the lanes, targets, and axes are regulation and league ready. If you work up an appetite, they have you covered on that end. Enjoy pizza, wings, appetizers, and desserts as you and your family and friends partake in an activity that is taking the country by storm and continues to grow in popularity. If you decide to visit the Pigeon Forge Axe House, we would love to hear how much you enjoyed it!

This winter, visit The Great Smoky Mountains area and enjoy these Indoor Winter Activities in Pigeon Forge. We think you will be amazed at just how much fun you can have during the winter season in the foothills of the Smokies.
